I spent three amazing months living in a tree house in Costa Rica and it has since then become my second favorite place in the world (the first being my home, the United States). I am counting down the days until I can go back and visit but wanted to share a post of some of my favorite things to do there.
BEACH HOPPING IN QUEPOS
I lived in Uvita but it was so easy to take a bus to Quepos for a day and explore some beautiful beaches. Quepos is beautiful and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking to visit Costa Rica.
VISIT CLOUD FOREST
My second week in Costa Rica we took a weekend trip to Cloud Forest. So fun! The hiking is amazing and they have so many other things to do. We went zip lining and did a night nature walk. We didn’t really see any cool animals but it was still fun and the guides were awesome.
SPEND A FEW DAYS IN PUERTO VIEJO
Puerto Viejo was definitively one of my favorite places. A quaint little beach town on the Carribean that offered a lot. Visit the beach, rent a bike for the day, check out the many, many shops along the beach, and there were so many food options. We were only there for a couple days and that wasn’t nearly enough time. There was so much we didn’t get to explore. Mostly the black sand beach. I really wanted to hit that beach but unfortunately it rained so we couldn’t.
GO CHASE WATERFALLS
Costa Rica has waterfalls EVERYWHERE. Seriously, if you don’t go find at least one waterfall while visiting Costa Rica, you are crazy.
