After a very long leave of absence, I’m finally back to give this little blog of mine some much needed attention.
I’m going to start simple. I’ll post about the wedding later when I have a chance to “enhance” the photos.
In the meantime, I posted earlier, much earlier, about a peacock drawing I was working on for my brother and sister in law for Christmas. I finally finished it! It was agonizing. The body of the peacock is stipling. It was an excruciating process, but the end result is exactly what I wanted.

Once I get my Etsy shop up and running, this will for sure be an item to purchase. I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to offer it, as a print, on stationary or a journal, postcards… hmm.. Ideas?
I hope you all enjoy and I’m looking forward to posting much more from now on!

Shannon! This is amazing! I wish I could draw even half as good as you. The stipling on the body is mind boggling. And, of course, I’m totally digging the peacock.

That…Is…Amazing. Seriously. You, as I have always said, have far too much talent. I would love just a little bit of it. How do you do that without going crazy…it’s just gorgeous. I’d be so honored to have a piece of your work in my office. I would hang it right next to the inspirational quote you gave me!
